Add content button

Firefly pages support the display of certain forms of live data. Click the Structured Data Component button at the bottom of a page (if the page already has content then you must click the Add content button first) to bring up the settings dialog as below:

There are two types of data source available, Excel range and Network database query. The screenshot above shows the selection of an Excel Workbook as the data source. With the settings shown above, the display is as in the highlighted component below; any change to the data in the Excel file is made also to the displayed data:

Other display options are available from the Display as pulldown menu:

These mirror the usual spreadsheet charting options. The highlighted component below shows the result of selecting Scatter (X/Y) chart and setting height and width to 200x400:

Network database query

This works in the same way as for an Excel file data source, the difference being that a data source such as a SQL server is accessed instead.  These queries must be set up by the administrator before users can insert them.
