Tools - Component
Clicking the edit button Component properties brings up the Tools menu with the Edit component section activated (see screenshot below). Options are
- Modify component: this launches the usual component editing window
- Delete component: allows the component to be deleted
- Modify permissions: allows you to restrict who can edit or even read the component via the Component Permissions dialog box. If you wish to place a message on the page which you only want only a selected group (e.g. Staff) to see, you can set this via this tool.
- Header: components can have header text - useful for dynamically generated components, e.g. lists, news feeds, etc
- Wrapping: components can be wrapped to left or right of one another
- Width: sets the width of a component; if omitted, the default is the full page width.
- Type: components can have styles assigned to them, these styles being set by the template design.

Wrapping Components
You can now alter the wrapping of the page around individual components, just as with images by using the Wrapping pulldown menu in the Component properties area (see screenshot above):
You can then select whether you wish other components to flow to the right or left of the chosen component (options are No wrapping, Wrap to right, Wrap to left), and if so what the width of the component should be in pixels.
As a visual aid, any components with wrapping set will be shown in edit mode with a dotted border. This border is not shown when edit tools are hidden unless the component is Highlighted. Wrapping changes can be seen live on the page also.
There is also an option to add a Header to the component - useful where the component is automatically generated and cannot be manually edited, e.g. a list or a new summary.
As an example, this page has a news summary component with wrapping set to the left, so this main body of text appears to the left of it. The Width was set to 300 pixels and the component was dragged up in order to finalise its position. A Header of "BBC News" was added and the component has been Highlighted, so appears with a light grey background inside a dotted border.
The screenshot above shows these settings.
